Meet Our Board of Directors

Chair

Susan Tremblay
has been engaged in the health services sector for over 30 years with work spanning the university and academic community, research organizations, policy groups, hospital and community health sector, professional regulatory bodies and membership organizations.  She has been a planning consultant in the academic and health services sector for the last ten years.  Her community involvement has spanned board roles at Flemingdon Health Centre, the Toronto Western Hospital Family Health Team, the Ontario College of Pharmacists and several professional associations.  She is also a volunteer with Eva’s Initiatives, an agency serving at-risk and homeless youth.  


Vice-Chair

Sarah Downey is a senior health care executive with more than 15 years experience leading planning and operations in several hospitals in Ontario.  She is Vice President of Princess Margaret Hospital at the University Health Network.  Princess Margaret Hospital is Canada’s largest comprehensive cancer centre.  Sarah has a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Ottawa and is a Certified Health Executive.  She lives with her husband and two children in east Toronto.



Treasurer

Peter Fuller
is a Chartered Accountant with a MBA from McMaster University specializing in Information Systems. Currently he works as a Controller for a group of Radio Stations across Canada.  Peter also advises small and medium sized businesses on their offline and online marketing needs. Peter joined the CCEY Board in early 2011 to give back to the community; recognizing the importance of the future deliverability of health care.


Secretary

Dianne Neale
is currently a Human Resources Manager with Atlantic Packaging Products in Toronto.  A Human Resources professional for over twenty-five years,  she has worked in Toronto with Canada Post, Bombardier and St. Michaels Hospital.  Dianne owned her own café on the Danforth and is very active in her community.  She has helped organize the ever-popular Roseheath annual street festival charity event over the last ten years.  She lives with her husband and 2 of her 3 children and a dog in the east end of Toronto.


Directors

Heather Dawson is a healthcare leader over with fifteen years experience in strategic planning, research and quality. Currently as Director of Analysis and Reporting with the Health Council of Canada, and in her previous role at the Canadian Institute for Health Information, Heather oversees the development of public reports that address key health systems issues that are relevant to Canadians. Heather has also held leadership roles within hospitals, health planning and advocacy organizations. Heather has a Masters degree in Health Administration from the University of Toronto and is a Certified Health Executive. She lives with her family in the Riverdale area.

Carolyne Fowler is a Chartered Accountant and member of the CFA Society with a background in Education. As a finance professional with 30 years of experience, she enjoyed progressive roles with Macmillan Bloedel, Imperial Oil and Nortel before launching into the financial markets and portfolio management with Scotia Cassels and YMG Capital. She was licensed by the Ontario Securities Commission, amongst other provinces, as a senior investment counsellor/portfolio manager. Her volunteer efforts have included the Junior League where she contributed to the Graydon Hall Show House project raising funds for breast cancer as well as serving for five years on the Investment Committee of the Board of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Montreal. She lives in Leaside with her husband and Golden Retriever.

Monique Hutchins is a bilingual business management professional with over 10 years of experience mainly in the financial services industry. She is an expert at building & maintaining long-term strategic relationships and advising on key corporate governance matters. She is currently a Director of Business Development & Marketing for a financial compliance firm and was previously Director of Client Management for a proxy advisory firm and Team Leader in account management for a corporate governance advisory firm. She holds a BComm from the John Molson School of Business part of Concordia University, and a Certificate in Business Management from McGill University. She volunteers her time by acting as Vice President of her university alumni association.

Ron Luciano is a Management Consultant with over 40 years of successful experience in the Voluntary sector as a CEO,  Volunteer Board Member and Organizational Development Consultant.He has served as Chair of Boards as diverse as Hospitals, The United Way (local and national), the Health Innovation Fund, Children's Charities, International Social Welfare and is active in the Rotary movement,His consulting practice has been in Strategic Planning, Executive Compensation, Business  Development and in the capital/operations fund raising programs. He has taught at the Community College, University undergraduateand Graduate programs  in both the Business and Social Work divisions. Ron's academic background includes undergrad work at Concordia (Montreal) and an MS (Organizational Behaviour) at G Williams (Chicago).
