Regular foot care plays an important role in keeping healthy and remaining active and mobile. Offered to seniors (aged 50 and older) and adults with disabilities, the Foot Care Service provides specially trained, registered foot-care nurses to do in-home consultation/assessment and provide basic foot care treatments in the home. Healthy foot care management is then recommended on a 4 - 6 week schedule.
A Registered Nurse with Foot Care Training will:
- Cut toe nails
- Take care of minor corns and calluses
We arange for nurses to provide basic foot care in the home. The Foot Care Program is also offered in a number of foot care clinics located throughout East York.
