The Senior Centre provides opportunities for adults, aged 50 and older, to socialize, learn new skills, participate in a variety of activities, volunteer and learn about community supports.
The Senior Centre offers a variety of wellness programs and enjoyable social activities including: fitness, crafts, discussion groups, computer classes, day trips and outings, weekly dining and the monthly Diners Club, a men's club, annual fund raising events, income tax clinics as well as access to foot care and blood pressure clinics run by a registered nurse.
Members receive a monthly calendar of events. We invite you to call the centre to inquire or drop in to sign up for programs of interest.
What is Community Care East York 's Senior Centre?
Community Care East York's Senior Centre is a neighbourhood place where members can drop in for socializing, refreshments, to take part in satisfying activities, and to be put in touch with community supports.
A wide variety of social, educational and recreational programs are offered. New programs are initiated in keeping with the needs and interests of the members. The Senior Centre's goal is to encourage and enhance the well-being, self-worth, self-determination and good health of older adults in East York.

In addition day trips, special events and fund raisers e.g Candy Cane Magic (third Saturday of November), are planned throughout the year.
A calendar of events is prepared monthly. Members plan their own activities by choosing the events they wish to take part in.

Costs: Membership to the Senior Centre is free. Fees for programs and outings are priced individually. Any fees charged will be to offset activity costs and/or to pay instructors.
Location: 1108 Greenwood Avenue in Cosburn United Church (on the northwest corner of Greenwood and Cosburn Avenues). Enter through the glass doors on Greenwood.
